Motorhomes have so many light weight living features crammed into a compact space. Whatever size motorhome you decide to rent, you will be amazed at the comfort and compactness that surrounds you. A family can sleep in a motorhome while the driver makes an early morning departure. The galley, refrigerator and stove are conveniently located to rustle up a meal. When the kids need the toilet - there's one at hand!

Features in an RV motorhome vary greatly by size, make and model, make sure the cameer that you choose meets your needs for the following reasons: Driving features: power steering, brakes/automatic transmission/cruise control - A motorhomeis a vehicle similar to a car in terms of drivig, and has equipment to help manoeuver it. Lookout for automatic transmissions, power brakes, power steering, and rear view mirrors on both the driver's and passenger's side of the motorhome. If your itinerary involves driving for long periods of time, cruise control may be a good idea.

Sleeping arrangements - consider how much privacy and space you require. Larger motorhomes have beds which stay as beds in the smaller models, sofas and dinettes convert to beds - these are fine for children.

Air conditioning - In warmer climates, you'll need a roof top air conditioning unit, which keeps the motorhome air conditioned when not indriving mode - this is separate to the airconditioning that can be activated when driving.

Heating - it can get cold at nights! Some motohomes have thermostatic propane heaters that work automatically.
Generating electricity - if you intend staying 'off the beaten track' away from campgrounds, and need to be totally self contained, choose a motor home witha gasoline driven generator which will generate your own electricity.

The kitchen area is very important, food is a vital part of any holiday - all motorhomes and campervans will have a stove and a refrigerator and space to store and prepare food. Some RV's have microwave ovens and others have regular ones. Fresh drinking and cooking water is stored in tanks.

Shower and Toilet adn washing facilities - These are real luxuries in camping and can be found in motorhomes. Hot water heaters provide enough hot water for a brief shower. The toilet will be an efficient marine type loo onboard the motorhome.
