Montreal is Canada's second-largest city and is a mix of high rise buildings and older churches and monuments. Believe it or not it is the second largest French speaking city after Paris - although it is not entirely French. Montreal is a multicultural city with food from around the world and a vibrant outlook.

Vieux-Montréal is the historic quarter of Montreal on the banks of the St Lawrence River. The Basilique de Notre-Dame and steepled Chapelle de Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours are just a few of the many great buildings in Montreal. Montreal has a great underground system and some lovely parks - the vast Jardin Botanique is second only to London's Kew Gardens.

You can pick up your motorhome from Montreal and spend some time here before you set off on your trip. There are some super holiday regions within an hour or two of Montreal and they are ideal for a RV vacation. Out to the west is the Outaouais region which is full of forests. To the north you can drive your motorhome to the fertile banks of the St Lawrence waterways. The geography to the east is full of farmland, orchards, maple woods and lakeshore hamlets popular among antique collectors. Take your motorhome out of Montreal and go where you want.

The International Airport of Montreal is Dorval. The airport is 22km southwest of Montreal and provides easy access to Montreal and the countryside.
