The British and Irish Lions Tour to New Zealand kicks off on 4th June 2005, culminating in a final test (of three) on the 9th July 2005.

Facts and information
This will be the 11th visit to New Zealand of the British and Irish Lions. There will be an estimated 150,000 tickets for Lions matches in a public ballot.
It is anticipated that the Tour will add at least $50 million to the New Zealand economy. There could be as many as 15,000 British and Irish Lions supporters flying in to watch the Lions.
Obviously accommodation will be at a premium.
UK travel agents, Gullivers Travel have booked a cruise ship for the tour, accommodating around 1,200 people.
It is estimated that many people will rent a campervan for the Lions tour and an estimated 1,000 - 1,500 campervans could rented out!
The camperavns on hire for the Lions tour will be joined by 150-180 tour buses.
The British and Irish Lions team will be coached by Sir Clive Woodward (England's Rugby World Cup-winning coach)
The Squad will be made up of 44 players and 27 management staff.Injured players will be replaced
The debate as to whom will be picked will rage for many months to come and will be the subject of many debates in bars from Edinburgh to London and Dublin to Cardiff.
